Brief Details:How educational providers can use web 2.0 and social networking sites to promote and enhance your business. A day to cover the why's, what's, where's and how to's from a business perspective to advertise, recruit and engage new clients: both student and provider.
Information:Research has proven that most young people spend an average of 4 hours a day engaged with a web 2.0 activity, whether by online or mobile devices. What better way for your business to reach potential students then use the same social networking tools that they are using.

This full day will offer providers the opportunity to discover why social media is the fastest growing advertising medium and how you can start you your own media campaign. We have lined up highly experienced consultants and engaging speakers who can guide you through the planning processes involved; and are grateful to have engaged Malcolm Johnston, Associate Lecturer at Anglia Ruskin's Ashcroft International Business School and Director of Re-Formation Associates Ltd; Bill Hamblin, a Business Link Specialist Adviser in
Information Technology and E-commerce and Steve Evans,Managing Director of Net Natives & Co-Founder of Search Natives Ltd who has introduced a social media to Brighton FE College.

We will also cover some of the legal aspects involved in using social media and be able to point you in the right direction for planning your strategy. In all- a jam-packed day not to be missed!

He will give examples of what is gonig on within the world of web 2.0 marketing, facts, figures and examples of global success stories. Hopefully he will convince you that this is now the modern online method for engaging your potential clients

Beginners guide to Safeguarding. RSC Eastern Safeguarding advisor Malcolm Bodley will give a brief introduction to ensure safeguarding measures are in place.

The "How" Session. Steve Evans from Netnatives will explain how they introduced a social media marketing strategy to Brighton College. He will also give examples of how his company uses facebook, twitter and linkedin within his recruitment business. The session will close with guidance on how to set up a marketing campaign.
