    Keynote Presentation

    Mistakes we have made
learning from the Schome Park Programme

The Schome Park Programme used Teen Second Life® virtual world, in conjunction with other web 2.0 tools, to explore issues around pedagogy. This presentation will suggest that open virtual worlds (such as Second Life) are particularly powerful vehicles for such exploration and will provide some reasons why this might be the case. Having acknowledged some of the shortcomings of the Schome Park Programme the presentation will describe a range of in-world activities to stimulate thinking about effective pedagogy relevant to learners of all ages.
