Marieke Guy from UKOLN helped us find out how Web 2.0 applications are being used in libraries and information centres, and what actually works. Blogs, wikis, RSS? Podcasts, Slideshare, Flickr and del.icio.us? Social Networking, Social Bookmarking and Video Sharing are the buzz words. We looked at how useful it is in the context of LRCs with a brief overview of Web 2.0 and what it means. Then focussed in more detail on how the concept can be used to provide information sources, enhance services to users and raise the profile of information services.
